Hello Blogging World

Hello all you bloggers! I'm a newbie to the blogging world. This is the first I have ever attempted. I am creating this mainly for family and friends who either live far away or I don't keep in contacts with like I should (practically everyone!). I am the world's worst for trying to stay in touch with people. There are so many out there whom I truly love and miss very much but haven't talked to in months! Sorry about that guys. For those of you who know me, no intro needed. However, if you have just stumbled onto my little blog I will introduce myself.

I'm Jess. I'm a little small town country girl who enjoys the simple things in life like friends and family. I have an amazing family and equally amazing friends. I have had the distinct pleasure of enjoying the past nine years with the love of my life. My husband and I are high school sweethearts and knew even back then we were meant for each other. On May 7 this past spring we began a new chapter in our lives as husband and wife and haven't looked back since. It's been wonderful! I have always heard that the first year especially is hard but we have taken to it like a duck to water! We are really enjoying married life.

Here are a few pictures from our wedding day. Our photographer was awesome!! Check him out at: http://www.fusionphotopro.com/. They are great to work with and would recommend them to anyone! Plus you get loads for your money!

The wedding party! Some of you may recognize a couple of these folks. My new brother-in-law's wife, Jennifer (whom I refer to as my sister-in-law) has a very successful blog of her own. Check it out! http://www.slpreppystyle.com/
My ladies!
Girls will be girls: shoes and flowers
Our unity candle
Our sweet little flower girls. My two nieces, Emily and Hannah, and Pat's niece, Hollon (known to the blogging world as Lallie)
And our dashing ring bearers. Two of my nephews (Jackson and Colton)
Here comes the groom!
There is nothing like this moment. Being able to share this with my Dad was priceless
Does that look like the face of cold feet?
The completed Ison family
And all the Trents
We did it!
The matron of honor (my oldest sister) and the best man (Pat's brother)
Our beautiful wedding cake that my Mom made (it does not show off her incredible talent but I wanted something simple)
Pat's groom cake (the first decorative cake I've ever made!)
Petifores for our guests provided by Root-A-Bakers Bakery in Morehead, KY and they were delicious!!
Speeches! They were great!
That cake was sooo good!
We really wanted to toast with Ale-8 but that didn't pan out :(
My little cousin caught the bouquet
Pat's friend from law school (Levi) caught the garter. He towered over everyone else so it wasn't much of an effort
This was the kid's favorite part. My older nephews looked forward to this all evening! They kept asking up when we were going to leave!

Thanks for visiting! Keep checking in to see what the newly weds are up to!
